Purpose
To explain the Standby Pay provisions and to review the earn codes with the proper usage of payments related to Standby Pay payments.

Contract Provisions and Eligibility Criteria
The UUP contract provides a list of eligible titles for Recall. Employees who are on standby and are recalled to work are entitled to receive the appropriate overtime or recall compensation in addition to the approved Standby compensation.
Standby Earn Codes
The following chart is a list of Standby Earn Codes with their descriptions and appropriate usage:

| SBU | Standby Unclassified | Regular standby for unclassified employees. | $3.50 per hour. |
| SOO | Standby OT Override | Standby that was submitted without Earn Codes OTA and SBU for unclassified employees. | Same calculation as for SOU but must be done manually. |
| SOU | Standby OT Unclassified | Standby that must be submitted with Earn Codes OTA and SBU for unclassified employees. | System calculates .01955 of the Standby rate times the number submitted as SOU. |
