Having effective internal controls will help ensure that your municipality or district is using public assets efficiently and protecting against waste, loss and abuse. This session will cover internal control framework for inventory and equipment, and go through the elements of a control environment to help ensure assets are protected. It should also serve as a conversation starter for departments and management to better understand their roles in the internal control process.
