Purpose of Audit

The purpose of our review was to assess the District’s progress, as of July 2022, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in July 2016. 


The District serves the Towns of Brighton and Pittsford in Monroe County. An elected seven-member Board of Education (Board) is responsible for the general management of the District.

Results of Review

Based on our limited procedures, the District has made progress implementing corrective action. Of the five audit recommendations related to separation payments, one recommendation was fully implemented, one recommendation was implemented with alternate corrective action, two recommendations were partially implemented and one recommendation was not implemented.
