Former Speculator village clerk-treasurer Bonnie Page was charged with grand larceny and corrupting the government for allegedly scamming the village out of $25,988 for health insurance benefits for her family, State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced today.

In January, the Office of the State Comptroller approved 1,485 contracts for state agencies and public authorities valued at $18.1 billion and approved more than 1.8 million payments worth nearly $11.1 billion. New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli today announced the New York State Common Retirement Fund (Fund) is reviewing 27 thermal coal mining companies to determine whether they are taking steps to transition to a more sustainable business model in line with the growing low carbon economy. The review of coal companies is part of DiNapoli’s Climate Action Plan to further decarbonize the state pension fund’s investments.
