New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli today announced that Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM), one of the world’s leading suppliers of agricultural products to food companies, has agreed to use only sustainably-sourced palm and soy products that are certified free of any link to deforestation, a leading cause of climate change.
The New York State Common Retirement Fund has committed an additional $30 million to Primary Venture Partners to invest in state-based companies, New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced today. The commitment will be made through the pension fund’s In-State Private Equity Investment Program, designed to make profitable investments in companies located in New York state. Jimmie Buie was convicted of Attempted Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and sentenced to 1 ½ to 3 years in state prison by the Honorable Elizabeth Foley in Kings County Supreme Court.
