- $15,000 to Bracewell, LLP for outside counsel to assist the New York State Assembly with preparation and discovery related to a trial in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York.

- $86,000 to Kelley Drye and Warren, LLP to provide special counsel for SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

- $1.4 million to Marcy Excavation Services, LLC for parking lot improvements at the Great New York State Fair grounds in Onondaga County.
New York State Thruway Authority
- $12 million to Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC for the New NY Bridge Project.
- $1.6 million to HNTB New York Engineering and Architecture, PC for engineering services for the New NY Bridge Project.
Unified Court System
- $11 million to The Legal Aid Society for legal services to children and $10 million for legal services to indigent criminal defendants in New York City.
- $10 million to New York City for court cleaning and minor repairs.
Payment Rejections and Other Cost Recoveries
The office rejected more than 3,000 payments valued at nearly $4.8 million, including tax refunds valued at more than $3.7 million. The Comptroller’s auditors also recovered nearly $44,000 from vendors owing debts to the state, and held payments of more than $1.4 million pending resolution of disputes between subcontractors and prime contractors.
Cumulatively through May for calendar year 2018, the Comptroller’s office has approved 7,302 contracts valued at $38.8 billion and approved nearly 17.8 million payments worth more than $69.7 billion. The office has rejected 829 contracts and related transactions valued at $1.86 billion and more than 15,400 payments valued at nearly $28.3 million primarily due to errors, improprieties or lack of documentation.
