Other Contract Payment Rejections and Other Cost Recoveries
OSC rejected tax refunds and credits valued at nearly $2.8 million. The Comptroller’s auditors also recovered more than $224,900 from vendors owing debts to the state and held payments of nearly $321,200 pending resolution of disputes between subcontractors and prime contractors.
Cumulatively through August for calendar year 2022, the Comptroller’s office has approved 11,490 contracts valued at $31.2 billion and nearly 22.3 million payments worth nearly $116.4 billion. The office has rejected 941 contracts and related transactions valued at nearly $4.8 billion and 40,900 payments valued at nearly $169.3 million primarily due to errors, improprieties, or lack of documentation.
