DiNapoli Criticizes Ill-Conceived Presidential Executive Order

"Today's Presidential Executive Order is yet another ill-conceived and dangerous attack on environmental protections. Along with the President's previous proposals to gut the Environmental Protection Agency's budget by 31 percent and roll back protections for clean air and water, this action would decimate 40 years of work to reduce pollution in America, pushing our country backwards.

DiNapoli Releases February State Cash Report

State tax collections totaled $67.3 billion through Feb. 28, a decline of $481 million or 0.7 percent from the same period last year, according to the state cash report issued today by State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. Year to date tax collections were $103 million higher than the latest projections included in the Third Quarter Update to the Financial Plan released with the Executive Budget on Feb. 23.

DiNapoli Announces State Contract and Payment Actions for February 2017

State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced today his office approved 1,558 contracts valued at $4.44 billion and approved nearly 4 million payments worth more than $10.5 billion in February. His office also rejected 168 contracts and related transactions valued at $1.85 billion and nearly 3,000 payments valued at more than $6 million due to fraud, waste or other improprieties.

State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced today his office approved 1,739 contracts valued at $3.25 billion and approved 4.3 million payments worth $10.4 billion in February. His office also rejected 232 contracts and related transactions valued at $2.65 billion and approximately 6,500 payments valued at $11.9 million due to fraud, waste or other improprieties.
