Top executives at the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority (RGRTA) collected 57 percent of the authority’s salary bonuses over a three-year period because the authority rewarded collective achievements instead of individual efforts, according to an audit released today by State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.

New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli today announced the appointment of Anastasia Titarchuk to the position of Deputy Chief Investment Officer for the $181.7 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund. Titarchuk previously served the Fund as Director of Absolute Return Strategies.
“Anastasia’s talent and varied financial experience are perfectly suited to helping manage the Fund,” DiNapoli said. “We are fortunate to have her with us.”
State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced today his office approved 1,577 contracts valued at $1.2 billion and approved nearly 1.3 million payments worth $9.6 billion in January. His office also rejected 190 contracts and related transactions valued at $675 million and nearly 2,000 payments valued at $1.6 million due to fraud, waste or other improprieties.
State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli’s Fiscal Stress Monitoring System has identified 22 villages in New York in some level of fiscal stress. DiNapoli’s office evaluated and scored 539 villages, which predominantly have a fiscal year ending on May 31.
State tax collections through the first 10 months of the state’s fiscal year rose 1 percent from last year to $58.9 billion, but were $367.3 million below the state’s latest estimates because of lower than expected Personal Income Tax (PIT) collections, according to the January state cash report released today by State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.
