DiNapoli Releases Bond Calendar for First Quarter

New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli today announced a tentative schedule for the planned bond sales for New York state, New York City and their major public authorities during the first quarter of 2022.

The planned sales of $6.91 billion include $6.28 billion of new money and $630 million of refundings and reofferings as follows:

DiNapoli: Lack of Oversight Hinders Home Meal Delivery Program for Vulnerable Seniors

New York City’s Department for the Aging (DFTA) needs to do more to ensure the meals it provides to homebound seniors are prepared in sanitary conditions and are nutritious, high-quality meals, according to an audit released today by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. The agency’s failure to adequately monitor the vendors it hires to make and deliver the meals is a particular concern during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has increased isolation and food insecurity.

DiNapoli: Former Director Pleads Guilty to Stealing $1,700 From Hornell Partners for Growth

New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli, Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker and the New York State Police today announced that Michelle “Shelly” Stevens, the former executive director of Hornell Partners for Growth (HPG), pleaded guilty to Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree for stealing $1,711 in cash from the non-profit’s Annual Fourth of July festival that was earmarked for the city’s Business Improvement District.

DiNapoli: Former Treasurer of Frewsburg Central School District Pleads Guilty to Stealing Nearly $7,000 in School Funds

New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli and District Attorney Jason Schmidt today announced the arrest and guilty plea of Angela Smoulder, former Treasurer of the Frewsburg Central School District, for stealing nearly $7,000 in funds raised by students to support their extra-classroom activities.
