The Accrued Payments and Leave Credits page provides an online form which allows you to electronically submit final payment and service information quickly and easily.
After you have made final payments to the employee and submitted your monthly report with these final payments, complete and submit the Accrued Payments and Leave Credits page for the employee.
If the employee has more than one employment instance, you must complete separate Accrued Payments and Leave Credits pages for each instance.
For employees who filed for a service retirement benefit on or after January 21, 2026, you must submit final payment and service information using the Accrued Payments and Leave Credits page in Retirement Online. NYSLRS will not accept paper forms.
If you do not comply with our requests, NYSLRS will calculate the employee’s retirement benefit without final payment and service information, which may result in a reduced pension benefit amount.

What You Need to Do
Complete all fields—do not leave any fields blank. If information prepopulates, verify that it’s correct and make adjustments if needed.
Please be aware, certain parts of the page will not display if the employee was:
- Employed by the State.
- A PFRS member and your organization reported some or all of the employee’s earnings and service using legacy reporting.
Final Report Reconciliation table
- If question #5 appears, you must click the Load Final Report button to populate the employee’s final payment information from your monthly report into the Final Report Reconciliation table.
- The employee’s earnings must be broken down by the type of pay, and in some cases, by the dates when the employee earned the specified pay.
- For each row that populates in the table, verify the information is correct and make adjustments if needed.
- When making adjustments, all earnings must add up to the Total Earnings Amount shown.
- Do not include earnings for vacation in this table—see question #6 and use the Lump Sum Vacation Pay table.
Lump Sum Vacation Pay table
- If the Final Report Reconciliation table appears, question #6 and the Lump Sum Vacation Pay table will also appear.
- If you paid the employee for accrued and unused vacation time after they retired (terminated or separated from employment), verify or enter the employee’s earnings information in the table.
Note for both tables: You can add rows to separate earnings information out or delete a row that is not needed. However, if only one row prepopulates, do not delete the row.
You can save your progress and return to the page later to finish filling out the fields or making adjustments. Once complete, you must select the checkbox to certify that the information is true and accurate, then submit the information to NYSLRS. Once submitted, the page will become read-only. If there’s an error, you will need to contact NYSLRS to request changes.
