Purpose
The purpose of this task is to Reserve an Empl ID.
Helpful Hints
- By reserving an Empl ID, an agency which submits transactions using the Automated Interface process will be able to submit transactions in one step.
Reserving an Empl ID

Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Add a Person
Steps
- Click Add Person button.
Biographical Details page - Enter the Effective Date. The effective date cannot be future dated.
- Click the Add Name button.
- Enter the First and Last Name fields. Enter Middle Name if desired.
- Select OK.
Biographic Information - Enter Date of Birth. Other fields within this section are not used for Payroll purposes but can be captured for agency use.
Biographical History - Enter Effective Date – Use same date as on Biographical Details. Other fields within this section are not used for Payroll purposes but can be captured for agency use.
National ID - Enter the employee’s National ID. This field is required when Reserving an Empl ID.
- Click Contact Information tab.
- Click the Add Address Detail link.
- Enter the Effective Date. The date must equal the Name effective date.
- Click the Add Address Detail link.
- Enter the street address in the Address 1 and Address 2 fields as appropriate.
- Enter the City.
- Enter the State.
- Enter the zip/Postal code.
- Enter the County in which the employee resides.
- Click the OK button.
- Review the information entered. Click the OK button.
- The fields in the Phone Information area, Email Addresses and the Instant Messages ID’s areas are optional.
Organizational Relationships tab - Click the Organizational Relationships tab.
- Click Reserve Empl ID.
- Click Add Relationship.
- Note Person ID/Empl ID has been assigned.
Security Data - Enter Department ID where employee will be working.
- Click OK.
NOTE: In order to hire an Employee who has a Reserved Empl ID, the Add Employment Instance screen must be used. See Adding an Employment Instance (Concurrent Job).
Result
Person ID has been created.
